Sirens Spotted on the Atlantic Coast

Written by - Jocelyn Burrowly

Sirens have been seen off the coast of the UK and the America's. Siren's have not been seen for many years but seem to have made quite a come back. Many men have died as a result of these lusty lasses. But just what are Sirens may you ask?

Sirens are monsters famous in Greek Mythology. They are enchanted women (beautiful) who sing to anyone passing by. OOh free concert you may say? No,those viewing this concert most definitley pay a price . The price is one's life. As seen in the story of Odyseus...their songs tend to tempt men...particularly sailors...to their deaths. It is said that atleast 45 muggles have died so far as a result of the Siren's return. But what made them return?

It is thought that the spell causing the green house effect as the muggle's call it, causing the oceans to warm has brought them back. They are particularly fond of warmth.

Muggles explain the boats crashing as a result to heat stroke causing deleriousness and crashes, perhaps it is good that we keep it secret from them that lusty monsters are causing their kind to perish. Only 10 wizards have suffered to the Siren's song. What about pirates may you ask? It has been said that pirates know how to get past these wench's of music, by drinking mass amounts rum to stupify them enough not to listen to the sea wench's heart quenching music. But the rum has gone. Why is the rum gone? That question has yet to be answered.

So Wizards and Witches planning to head out to sea be sure to pack bees wax and cotton to protect your ears from the Sirens' song, or you may end up in the bottom of the sea.

Total Wizards:
2635
Gryffindors
494
Huffepuffs
306
Ravenclaws
422
Slytherins
413
