Boggart Blamed for Extreme Streaking

Written by - Laura of Scarberia

A strange but amusing story has come to this writers attention about a Boggart that had been witnessed by almost 33 people running down the street after a young wizard in Paisley, Scotland.

The young wizard, when asked what had happened, explained that he had gone to his great-aunt's home to take care of a Boggart that had made itself at home in her laundry hamper. Knowing how to deal with a Boggart, he felt confident enough to deal with it on his own. However, things didn't turn out exactly as planned.

As we all know, a Boggart will turn into the thing we fear most and when our brave wizard opened the lid of the hamper, he tried to keep his mind blank, but to no avail. Rising out of the hamper was the naked form of his great-aunt, complete with the powder pink hair curlers and teal hair net. Terrified by the sight, he ran screaming from the house. Looking behind him, he saw that the Boggart was running after him. Muggles along either side of the street, women walking with their children, men out walking their dogs, were absolutely astounded by the sight and could only stare in disbelief.

Luckily, another wizard a bit older and more experienced with Boggarts, was walking down the street when he saw the young wizard, with Boggart in tow, run past him. Immediately, he whipped out his wand and quickly dispatched the Boggart, then contacted the Ministry of Magic to inform them of what had taken place.

A spokesperson from the Ministry explained that the reason the Boggart had chased the young wizard for so long was that his fear was so great, it concentrated solely on him. Not to mention that the Muggles were so shocked by the scene they didn't know what to think. Thankfully, they were able to contain all the Muggles on site and erase the event from their minds.

And so, I suppose, the moral of the story is if you have a great-aunt who has powder pink hair curlers and a teal hair net to match, don't go to her house unless it's for tea.
