Fred Weasley: The Better Half

Written by - Katie

I have always taken a liking to Fred Weasley; he has always just been more appealling to me than George. But, now that I think about it and re-read the books, I've realized that some of us have chosen Fred as our favorite twin because he is much better represented in the books. Lets review the evidence:

*Fred has almost twice as many lines in the book as George does (I counted, I promise)

* If you look at all of the schemes and plots of the Weasley twins, you will see that Fred is almost always the one to come up with the idea, with George only going along with it.

*Fred was shown getting a date to the Yule Ball, not George. He goes with Angelina and George apparently tags along.

*In CoS, Ron explains why he doesn't like spiders. Its because when he was five, Fred turned his teddy bear into a spider. If Ron was five, then Fred was only seven. Fred could transfigure an object into an animal at the age of seven? Remember, transfiguration is one of the most complex forms of magic, and Fred did it at seven, not George.

Now, I don't have anything against George or anything, but I think that his role in future books will be less significant that Fred's. My theory is that George is not as smart or as out-going as Fred. Fred is the fiesty one, and George sort of tags along and observes as Fred does everything. Please, if you have any problems or comments about my theory email me!

Harry Potter is not owned by me at all. The super queen of Potter is no other than the wicked JK Rowling! So don't sue me, this is just a cool fan site.
