What has really happened to “The Boy Who Lived?” Is it destiny or a curse?

Written by: Vesta B.

Ever since he was a baby, Harry Potter has suffered great, terrible
losses. When he was around a year old Harry James Potter suffered the loss of his parents. Then, well, this is not such a loss as it is a curse; Harry had to live with his nitwit of an aunt, imbecile of an uncle, and pig of a cousin. Then there is that name of a “ Showoff Maniac”. And of course the worst loss of all (except the death of his parents’): the death of Sirius Black.

Now down to business. I am going to analyze these losses
of Harry Potter. You might wonder why I am going to all the trouble to spend a whole article on Harry’s losses, right? It’s because I have the feeling that some of these losses will count as a largepoint of the HP plot, or maybe I’m just a crazy loon, who knows?

The death of Lily and James Potter:
Every one knows that this isn’t a coincidence. Voldemort killed them because they wouldn’t surrender Harry to him.

Harry living with the Dursley’s:
Any wizarding family would have adopted Harry, why then did he have to live with them, the Dursley’s? Because Dumbledore’s thought it was the best thing for Harry. Why did Dumbledore keep Harry in the dark through OotP? Because Dumbledore’s thought it was in Harry’s best interests. Do you see a pattern with this?

The name “ Showoff Maniac”:
Harry is a good nature boy. He does like to play the hero. But not for
the glory, no, to save the person(s). And because of that Harry gets
the name “ Showoff Maniac”.

The death of Sirius Black:
Sirius was like a father/brother to Harry. What was one of the first
thing’s Sirius did for Harry? Bought him a Fire Bolt, the best racing
broom around of course. Voldemort projected a dream of Sirius, bound and tortured, into Harry’s mind to lure him to the Department of Mysteries to get him the prophecy.

Well these are just some things to consider. I just want to
say that I don’t believe that Sirius Black is dead for one second. So
for all of you diehard Sirius Black fans, don’t worry there still is hope left for our old friend Sirius. Until next time.

Has Jo inspired you to write?

Yes!
A bit here and there...
Not really.
I'm not interested in writing.

Harry Potter is not owned by me at all. The super queen of Potter is no other than the wicked JK Rowling! So don't sue me, this is just a cool fan site.
