Third Movie Worse Than Third Book?

Written by - Julie

As we all saw Harry Potter and the Prizoner of Askaban, we were amazed by the dementors and Buckbeak and more. Yet, if you compare it to the book, the director made a few mistakes. One, Harry does not get the Firebolt at the end of the year. Even though it made a good ending, even though the picture at the end was slightly blurry, the Firebolt was given to Harry at Christmas and Harry and Ron have a big fight with Hermionie because she told Minerva. There is also the fact that the movie never once meantions that Padfoot, Prongs, Wormtail and Moony are indeed Siruis Black, James Potter, Peter Pettigrew and Remus Lupin. For people that see the movies and not read the books, it is a sad thing. There is one mention of it at the end when Lupin says he knows how to use it. That is the only hint. The movie itself was good. My favorite actor was Professor Lupin and he was in the book, so they chose a good actor for him. Sirius Black was very good and looked a lot like a prizoner from Askaban and acted like one very well. My brother looks at the CGI from the 3rd movie and says it was horrible, except for the dementors which were really cool. The snake formed by the boggart was bad. I can also reveal that when Lupin turned into a werewolf, it was not CGI, it was a costume. Then I think after he transformed, it was CGI. If you read the magazine, Girls Life, read the June-July 2004 issue to find out more. Please do not think of me as a critic but I am just comparing the book to the movie and letting readers know how the movie dissapointed me. The movie itself was great!!

Harry Potter is not owned by me at all. The super queen of Potter is no other than the wicked JK Rowling! So don't sue me, this is just a cool fan site.
